Originally slated as a pilot for a proposed TV series, David Lynch?s Mulholland Drive is currently in competition at Cannes and should hit the big screen very soon. A four-minute trailer for the movie has now surfaced online and suggests that Lynch may have returned to the form of Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks. The main thrust of the plot concerns a woman (Laura Herring) who is abandoned on LA?s Mulholland Drive following a car accident and is suffering from amnesia. She makes her way to an apartment where she meets an aspiring actress (Naomi Watts) who helps her put the pieces of her life, and the mystery of it all, back together. Of course, this being Lynch territory, there?s lots more to it than that.
